The objectives


A global pharmaceutical conglomerate challenged CWT Meetings & Events to provide a global, cohesive strategy that met its service needs.  Services included end-to-end meeting management, compliance administration and group air in more than 18 countries. The project encompassed multiple business sectors/cultures and policies.


The solution

 

CWT Meetings & Events assigned a global implementation project manager, who worked closely with the global program director and each regional program manager, to identify key milestones for implementation and assist in its deployment.

Engaging frontline staff was an integral component for the program. The team welcomed key client stakeholders from each major market/business to dedicated workshops in order to understand their specific needs and requirements before restructuring its processes.


The results


Eighteen countries with 109 legal entities were initially implemented within the first 12 months of the program.

CWT Meetings & Events has a global implementation guarantee in place with the client and was delighted to have met or exceeded all measurement criteria. 

A strong process, linked to both training and the development and management of standard operating procedures, was recognised as the key to operational excellence.

Following its initial success the five-year partnership continues to thrive, having contributed to an annual cost saving of around US$11m.
